Lily "Mae" Taylor
Mae Taylor, 91, of Springfield, passed away February 24, 2009. She was born on August 15, 1917
Mae was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Ervie Ghan and R.E. Taylor, her parents, Bud and Neal Salkil, 2 daughters: Ethel Miller and Patsy Maples, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Sharon Maples and husband Jerry of Clever, Kathy Alff and husband Richard of Springfield; 2 sons: Keith Taylor and Joyce of Springfield, and Everett Taylor and wife Melba of Jacksonville, FL.; 2 sisters: Linna Hancock of Bois D'Arc and Hester Mantle and husband Bill of Kansas City; 2 brothers: Henry Salkil of Nixa and Finis Salkil of Humansville. Plus 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Mae was saved at the age of 16 and loved her Lord. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many during her life span.
Visitation will be Thursday February 26th at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be 11 AM Friday February 27th at the funeral home, with burial at the Delaware Cemetery.
