Life Legacy
Marilyn E. Young, 58, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009. She was the daughter of Louise Wood, born in Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Wood, and her husband of 36 years, Wayne Young.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Wood, one daughter, Valentina Smith and husband Paul, one son, Wesley Young and wife Megan; and three grandchildren, Jonathan, Noah and Hannah.
Visitation will be held at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St., Springfield, MO. on Tuesday, June 17, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral service will be at the chapel on Wednesday, at 11:30 AM with burial to follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manna Worldwide c/o Seminole Baptist Temple, 4221 S. National Ave., Springfield, MO. 65810.
